On the 11th April 2008, Euravia celebrated its 20th Anniversary with the official opening of the new Whitegate Building delivering over 50,000ft2 state-of-the-art, modern Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) facilities.

Part of the celebration was jousting, sword fighting and medieval frolics which attracted a large crowd of school children and representatives from the local community.  Lord Shuttleworth, The Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, unveiled a plaque during the official opening of the new Whitegate Building which houses the main production line, accessory department and the flow test acoustic enclosure. Euravia’s Managing Director, Dennis Mendoros, said: “Euravia is firmly rooted in Lancashire and over the years we have supported a number of regional initiatives. We are committed in underpinning local community initiatives and we are delighted that we enjoy the support of our district and that of the local authorities.” 

He added: "We most sincerely appreciate that the Lord Lieutenant kindly agreed to officiate during our Anniversary celebrations and unveil the plaque of our new factory unit."
