Supporting Our Environment

Euravia is a company operating within the international Aerospace Industry and is involved in the design, development, overhaul (remanufacturing), repair and testing of aero engines and associated components.  Euravia is a Prime Contractor for the UK Ministry of Defence, NATO, airlines and other civil and defence aircraft operators.

For over ten years (well before the protection of the environment has been recognised as a key issue) Euravia has been committed to making an effective response to the problem of climate change and other environmental concerns. At Euravia we believe that we have a duty to develop solutions which protect the environment and at the same time allow for a sustainable economic growth.

To commemorate Euravia’s 20th Anniversary, the Company has introduced a number of initiatives aimed at protecting the environment.

Protection of the environment is our critical corporate goal and is an integral part of Euravia's corporate philosophy. Euravia's Management Team is monitoring compliance with environmental policies and regulations and ensures that our staff are encouraged to develop and introduce new initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.

Euravia's Environmental Protection Programme (EEPP)

Euravia prides itself for its pioneering attitude and commitment to protect and improve our environment and is actively promoting best practices among our supply chain. The company's products, processes and services are scrutinized against environmental criteria over the product's entire life cycle from development through production to maintenance.

Euravia's Environmental Protection Programme (EEPP) contributes to a cleaner, healthier, safer and quieter working environment. Euravia is committed in repairing components and spare parts rather than replacing them with new. This benefits both the environment and our customers by minimising the use of raw material and by eliminating unnecessary manufacturing activities and reducing energy consumption. The added benefit is that this costs substantially less to our customers - this is what we call "win-win" at Euravia.

Finally, we believe that our recycling rates for metal components, waste and packing material is much better than the industry average. Euravia's Test Cell Facility and Factories are equipped with state of the art noise suppression and silencing devices to ensure best possible noise emissions.

In brief, Euravia has established an effective programme which is aimed in creating awareness and at the same time minimising the industrial impact to our environment.  Through Euravia nearly 400 companies in the UK and abroad are encouraged to developed similar initiatives and cascade them through their own supply chain.  We are hoping that our example is followed by the majority of our sub contractors and in the near future by their own sub contractors.
