PT6A-28 Capabilities

Higher ITT limits for maximum performance

The PT6A-28 is a 680 shaft horsepower, small variation of the PT6 engine by Pratt and Whitney Canada (P&WC) it is similar to the PT6-27 engine, but with an increased cruise rating through coated large and small ducts. The -28 engine also has a higher Inter Turbine Temperature (ITT) limit for increased engine performance offering better fuel efficiency and lower costs for the operators. The PT6A-28 is used in the Piper Cheyenne II and Piper Cheyenne aircraft.
