Air cooled hot section for increased performance and efficiency

The ever reliable Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6A engine is manufactured in various sizes.  The small variants of the PT6A engine come in two sections; the gas generator and the power section. The small variants feature a reverse flow combustion system and a two stage planetary reduction gearbox to increase efficiency. The PT6A-34 is a small variant of the industry leading PT6 turboprop engine.

Using a 1 stage axial power turbine the PT6A-34 is a self-sufficient, lightweight power plant similar to PT6A-27, except that it incorporates a compressor turbine and is similar to PT6T-3 for higher ratings. This PT6A engine type is used in the Quest Kodiak, Pacific Aerospace XSTOL, Frakes Mallard and JetPROP DLX type aircraft. This model is fully serviceable at Euravia.
