PT6A-42 Capabilities

Increased performance and TBO from this medium sized PT6A engine variant.

The PT6A-42 is the medium variant in the PT6A family of turboprop engines from Pratt and Whitney Canada. Due to build of the reverse inlet flow, ease of repair and Hot Sections are key to the PT6 and PT6A engine success. This model is almost identical to the PT6A-41 but has compressor improvements to give up to 10% performance in cruise. The PT6A-42 is used in the Beechcraft C-12 HuronF, Beechcraft King Air 200/B200, Blackhawk XP42, Blackhawk XP42A, C-208 Caravan Series (-42A) and the Piper Meridian. This turboprop PT6 engine delivers 903 eshp and 850 shp for take-off. Services on this PT6A engine model are;
