PT6A-42A Capabilities

Increased ratings for a longer TBO and higher performance levels

This is the upgraded version of the PT6-41 engine by Pratt and Whitney Canada. Ever present in the turbo prop industry, the PT6A engine series has been flying since the 1960's and this is a medium sized version of the classic engine series. Used in the Beechcraft C12F, the Blackhawk XP42 and the King Air 200 aircraft series This engine is similar to the PT6A-41 except for addition of fuel control unit with manual override, compressor wash ring, accessory gearbox chip detector, P3 filter drain, and oil filler neck with check valve. All of these features offer increase the engine turbine temperature and efficiency. Euravia offer on this engine the following;
