PT6T-3 Turboshaft Engine Capabilities

The PT6T-3/T400 Twin-Pac Turboshaft Engine

The PT6T-3/T400 or "Twin-Pac" is a version of the Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6 engine. It is a turboshaft engine designed for use in helicopters, Bell 212 and UH-1N. Originally designated by the United States military as the T400, this engine produces up to 2,000 hp at 6,000 rpm from two 900 shaft horsepower PT6 engine powersections. Hence the name "Twin-Pac". The two power sections drive a common output reduction gearbox via a turboshaft allowing flexible control of power as required. The Twin-Pac has been developed to be used in a wide range of helicopters such as the AH-1, Bell and Sikorsky S-58T. In addition to engine sales and lease, Euravia have multiple capabilities on the PT6T-3/T400 Twin-Pac engine;
