Euravia at the Themis Careers Fair at Burnley College

Euravia Engineering are at the Themis Careers Fair in Burnley College promoting engineering apprenticeships in the Burnley Area

Euravia continued its long term goal of investing in engineering apprentice positions by attending the Themis Careers event at Burnley College.

We had a great time at the event talking with the local college and students about what it means to be an apprentice at Euravia Engineering. Amongst us was our first and second year apprentices Matt, Max and Brodie, our Engineering Manager Helen Malone-Ralph and Technical Manager Nigel Hodge.

The Euravia staff members were on hand to explain the nature of the business that Euravia Engineering is involved with and the types of engineering work that Euravia performs. Euravia is a specialist Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6 engine repair and overhaul facility and therefore requires a clear succession plan for staffing levels and investment in the local engineering students is a key part to maintaining a competitive edge. As part of the display on the day Euravia presented a number of parts that are used in the everyday processes and activities in a typical aerospace Overhaul facility.

Euravia currently employs 4 apprentices and the General Manager has promised to invest in more for 2019 and 2020.
