Euravia Donates money to Lord Street Colne to go towards the LEGO STEM project

On Friday the 21st of September, Euravia Engineering visited Lord Street Primary School In Colne. They attended the Friday assembly in order to present a cheque for £1157 to the school via Headteacher, Duncan Hetherington in aid of purchasing Lego STEM kits for the purpose of encouraging young children into the field of engineering and technical services.

Euravia was represented by General Manager Ian Robinson, Engineering Manager, Helen Malone-Ralph and Reide Hartley, Business Apprentice presented to the pupils what it was like being an engineer at Euravia and demonstrated the turboprop engines that Euravia maintain and what aircraft they are used in.

Over the last 6 months all 70 staff and their families of Euravia, have raised via company sponsored events including a family fun day, cake sales and breakfast days. Everyone at Euravia is proud of the accomplishment and are looking forward to more involvement in further projects.

General Manager, Ian Robinson said “It has been a great afternoon, made more significant that one of our very own Business Apprentices was a former pupil at the school, Euravia have a long standing connection with the local community and I look forward to continuing that association.”
